This guitar, the Standard from the Short Horn Series built between 1958 and 1966 is 100% original and has all of the classic features: black finish with a white seal shaped pickguard on which the controls and input are mounted; double cutaway semi-hollow body with a "Solid Center" construction consisting of a masonite top and back on a pine frame; one single coil lipstick tube-style pickup; Coke-bottle headstock; and a two-way adjustable chrome plated brass bridge with a Brazilian rosewood saddle; white vinyl binding on the body; two metal strap pins. This model is similar to and often confused with the two pickup 3021 model made famous by Jimmy Page. This guitar plays and sounds like a dream. Bolt-on, straight neck with plastic dot inlays on a Rosewood fretboard, 21 frets, a metal nut and 25" scale. The top three frets have some minor wear and the back of the neck has a few spots of finish wear but this done not affect the sound or playability of the instrument. The headstock has some wear along the edges and sides and features the vertical silkscreened logo. The action is fast. The neck is kept straight with two metal rods.

There is one single-coil lipstick tube-style pickup which is in good working order. The tone is clean and bright with some good bite perfect for a variety of styles including blues, rock, garage rock, country, and funk. This guitar has a three was switch for instantaneous tone selection.
