This is a 1963 Silvertone electric guitar made by Danelectro. The guitar has a black sparkle finish and is part of the amp-in-case line. It has two lipstick pickups. Included in the package are the following: the electric guitar, the amp-in-case, original foot pedal, and original guitar cord (1/4" jacks.) The 1449 has a slightly different pick-guard and is far more rare than the 1457, it's cousin. From my research, I've determined this model was only offered for one year: 1963; after that the model was modified slightly and only available in red.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
This guitar is in excellent condition. It is 100% original. There are a few nicks/scratches and a minor ding on the top of the headstock but it's barely noticeable. The marks on the back of the neck are reflections NOT wear to the guitar. It has a Brazilian rosewood fretboard. All the electronics work properly and the neck is straight. The action is set very fast on this one. So if you're a player you'll really love this one right out of the box. But this is also a collector's dream...it's pristine. Shipping is $50 for the continental US because the case is very heavy.
