Circa 1955 - DANELECTRO

Silvertone 1377 Danelectro, made in NJ, early, maroon artificial leather, 2 pickups, single cutaway 1955 This is a Silvertone 1377 made by Danelectro of Neptune, New Jersey. It features a solid hardwood, poplar body covered by maroon, artificial leather, with contrasting white head plate and guard plate on which all of the electronics are mounted, two single coil pickups actually concealed under the pickguard, a single cutaway, and a four way adjustable unplated aluminum bridge with a Brazilian rosewood saddle. The 1377 has an aluminum truss rod that extends from the nut all the way through to the bridge and it can be seen on the surface of the guitar down the middle of the back of the neck and on the front center of the body. This guitar is 100% original and in good condition. It is a very early and rare model that still looks lovely after approximately 60 years of existence. With its medium-fast action and terrific tone, this guitar plays like a dream. It comes with an orignial hardshell case. Get this rare, early Silvertone before someone else does.
